چکیده
Abstract This publication presents an analytical method for the aerodynamic and acoustic pre-design of ducted fans small aircraft. Based on studies primary design variables, paper discusses physical sound generation phenomena, as well interdisciplinary relationships fan design. First, analysis methods are described. On basis mean line method, radial distribution flow velocities is used to determine steady blade flow. Unsteady excitations calculated by means Sears’ response function. To propagation within fan, Goldstein’s analogy solved analytically. The applied a reference case, which show that offer significant potential in reducing emission, compared free propellers. Since rotor-alone noise subsonic always cut-off, tonal predominantly excited rotor–stator interactions. These sources can be significantly reduced proper selection rotor stator vane numbers, optimal lean sweep vanes. Large diameters axial gaps acoustically advantageous, but reduce stage efficiency increase nacelle drag due large wetted areas, especially at cruise. As result, importance considering these complex interdependencies comprehensive approach shown. presented design, taking into account trade-offs, with emphasis noise. Analysis concept shows promising alternative propeller, if low emission required.

Development of Aircraft Flight Loads Analysis Models with Uncertainties for Pre-design Studies
Abstract. This paper addresses the development of analysis tools for flight loads prediction in the pre-design stage. The analysis tools are embedded in a parametric modelling environment. Emphasis will be on prediction of aerodynamic loads on specific structural parts, like the fin, during dynamic manoeuvres. Principal requirement is that these loads can be computed with low effort, but with s...

Small ducted fan autonomous vehicles have potential for several applications, especially for missions in urban environments. This paper discusses the use of dynamic inversion with neural network adaptation to provide an adaptive controller for the GTSpy, a small ducted fan autonomous vehicle based on the Micro Autonomous Systems’ Helispy. This approach allows utilization of the entire flight en...
متن کاملInverse Source Strength Reconstruction Techniques for Ducted Acoustic Sources
The aeronautic, aerospace and automotive industries require improved noise reduction techniques to meet the current normative and increase the acoustic comfort at acceptable cost. The aim of this work is to investigate the capabilities of inverse methods for the noise source reconstruction of ducted acoustic sources in a laboratory acoustic facility installed in a semi anechoic chamber. Model-b...
